Smut Slam DC, where sex and storytelling collide in the capital

UPDATE REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS: Our live events has are cancelled to help with the prevention of the coronavirus spread. We’ll be back on stage when social distancing restrictions are lifted, but in the meantime, we’re bringing your smut to you online! Smut Slam DC is a monthly storytelling open mic at The Brixton on the U Street corridor, where audience members sign up to tell 5-minute, real-life, first-person sex stories. A panel of local celebrity judges awards prizes for exceptional storytelling moxie, and in between stories, the hosts read anonymous questions and confessions submitted by the audience to the Fuckbucket. (So, it’s your basic wholesome family night out.) Smut Slam DC is queer-friendly, kink-friendly, fat-friendly, poly-friendly, and really just friendly! Smut Slam DC is a franchise of Smut Slam International, created by Cameryn Moore. Diva Darling is the producer and host of Smut Slam DC.

Smut Slam DC: Slampusnacht

Have you been naughty? Really, really naughty? It’s time to confess your sordid mischief and describe your delightful punishments– or let us know how your prehensile tongue deals with your favorite rascals. Twas the night sometime after Krampusnacht, and all the creatures are stirring as we tell salacious tales of getting our jollies.

(Not familiar with Smut Slam? It’s a storytelling open mic where audience members sign up for 5-minute slots to tell their best real-life, first-person, consensual sex stories. It’s queer-friendly, kink-friendly, lifestyle-friendly, body-positive, sex-positive, and wildly fun. No costumes, no notes, no gimmicks, just straight-up raw truth! And who says social distancing can’t be sexy? The hosts of Smut Slam International have teamed up to create a totally-online format to carry us through until we can safely be in live venues again.)

This month, we close out our 2020 season with the theme “Slampusnacht”. Krampus, with his long forked tongue and willow switch, sounds like a kinky Santa to us. Let’s entice him with our tales of nutcrackings and rosy cheeks, our snow-day sexcapades, our holiday hookups. Have you arranged an erotic abduction? Discovered the joy of a toy? We have a wish list of stories a mile long!

Join me, Smut Slam DC producer and femme-cee Diva Darling, for an evening of deliciously smutty stories told by YOU. I’ll be joined by a panel of local celebrity judges (TBA) who want to hear what grew three sizes that day.

We’ll also, as always, have the Fuckbucket where audience members can write in their anonymous sexy questions and confessions. Want to play? Submit a NEW question or confession in the virtual Fuckbucket and I’ll be reading them aloud and answering your burning sex questions.

All the usual rules for participation apply– just because we’re online, doesn’t mean we’re not creating safe and inclusive space! I won’t be reading any Fuckbucket entries that are racist, ageist, body-shaming, homophobic, transphobic, kink-shaming, non-consensual, or that in any other way violate the Rules of the Road. Storytellers must also follow the house rules, and our live chat will be moderated to ensure no one violates safe space or abuses their chat privileges.

This show is produced as part of of Smut Slam DC’s partnership with the Joy Platform, Joie de Vivre’s queer-centric, adult-event-inclusive virtual event platform. It’s totally private, has no recording function, and is rapidly growing into the premier provider of virtual event space for a dazzling variety of sex-positive and queer events including dance parties and naked poetry. Check out their calendar for the full schedule! After you register, you’ll receive an email with instructions about how to log into the Joy Platform– all you need is an internet browser and a microphone (if you want to tell a story). Cameras optional!
